1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Odds API ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not access the Service.

2. Description of Service

Odds API provides real-time sports data through an application programming interface (API). Our Service delivers odds and related information from various bookmakers for informational, analytical, and research purposes. This data may be used for statistical analysis, data modeling, application development, market research, and other lawful analytical purposes.

We are a technology and data service provider. We do not operate, endorse, or have any affiliation with gambling, betting, or gaming services. Our platform exists solely to provide data infrastructure for developers, analysts, and researchers.

3. Trial Period and Account Eligibility

All subscription plans include a 10-day free trial period. The following restrictions apply:

  • Each user is eligible for one (1) trial period only, regardless of email address, payment method, or account details used
  • Creating multiple accounts to access additional trial periods is strictly prohibited
  • We reserve the right to immediately terminate accounts that attempt to circumvent trial limitations
  • Users found abusing the trial system will have their service terminated without notice and without refund
  • We employ automated systems to detect duplicate accounts and fraudulent trial usage

4. Account Registration and Security

To use our Service, you must:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials and API keys
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
  • Accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account
  • Use a valid email address and payment method

5. Subscription and Billing

By subscribing to our Service:

  • You authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring monthly basis
  • Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled before the renewal date
  • You may cancel your subscription at any time through the billing portal
  • Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis at our sole discretion
  • Price changes will be communicated at least 30 days in advance
  • Failed payments may result in service suspension or termination

6. Data Usage and Restrictions

You agree to the following restrictions regarding data obtained from our Service:

  • Resale Prohibition: You may not resell, redistribute, or sublicense our data to third parties without prior written consent from Odds API
  • You may not scrape, harvest, or collect data beyond your subscription tier limits
  • You may not reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract our source code
  • You may not use the Service to compete with Odds API or build a similar service
  • You must comply with all applicable laws and regulations when using our data
  • You may not use the data for any unlawful or fraudulent purpose

If you wish to resell or redistribute our data commercially, you must contact us in writing at hello@odds-api.io to discuss licensing arrangements.

7. API Usage and Rate Limits

Your API usage is subject to the following:

  • Rate limits as specified in your chosen subscription plan
  • Fair use policies to ensure service quality for all users
  • We reserve the right to throttle or block excessive usage that impacts service performance
  • Overage charges may apply if you exceed your plan's request limit (where applicable)

8. Service Availability and Modifications

We strive to maintain 99.9% uptime but:

  • We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service
  • We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time
  • We may perform maintenance that temporarily affects service availability
  • We will provide advance notice of planned maintenance when possible

9. Intellectual Property

All intellectual property rights in the Service, including but not limited to software, designs, text, graphics, and logos, are owned by Odds API or our licensors. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service according to these Terms.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose
  • Accuracy, reliability, or completeness of data
  • Uninterrupted or error-free operation
  • Security or freedom from viruses or other harmful components

You acknowledge that sports odds data is inherently time-sensitive and subject to change. We make no guarantees about the accuracy or timeliness of any data provided.

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ODDS API SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES RESULTING FROM:

  • Your use or inability to use the Service
  • Any unauthorized access to or use of our servers and/or any personal information stored therein
  • Any interruption or cessation of transmission to or from the Service
  • Any bugs, viruses, or other harmful code transmitted to or through the Service
  • Any errors or omissions in any content or data

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Odds API, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses arising out of or in any way connected with your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

13. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including but not limited to:

  • Breach of these Terms
  • Fraudulent or illegal activity
  • Abuse of trial periods or promotional offers
  • Non-payment of fees
  • Violation of data usage restrictions

Upon termination, your right to use the Service will cease immediately. You will not be entitled to any refund of prepaid fees except as required by law.

14. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

15. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes via email or through the Service. Your continued use of the Service after such modifications constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

17. Severability

18. Entire Agreement

These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Odds API regarding the use of the Service, superseding any prior agreements between you and Odds API relating to your use of the Service.
